Here is your Wellness Wednesday Tip on The Necessity of Sleep
Sleep is such an important part of our lives. I know that for me, when I don't sleep well, it affects my focus, I have increased brain fog, I have lack of motivation, I'm short- tempered. I think we've all been there from time to time. But, there is more to sleep for our overall health than just the basics we all are very much aware of.
In this fast-paced world, we must learn to become more aware of our body, mind, spirit. We must become more aware of what our body needs. We need to become more aware of the signals it gives us; most of the time those signals are subtle at first, but as we ignore, they get quite loud. When we hone in on what our body needs in the beginning, slowing down, taking a nap, taking time do just BE and have some "me" time and not rush or continue the chaos in our lives (sometimes that means eliminating something out of our day to be true to yourself by reducing stress) - it gives our body time to catch up and be well and healthy. If we run our body ragged, you may find yourself not feeling so well and run down, opening the door for illness.
Good sleep is an important part of a healthy lifestyle, while lack of sleep can be harmful to the body and decrease quality of life. Healthy eating, regular exercise, reducing stress, and getting enough sunlight during the day all contribute to a good night’s rest. However, sometimes we need some extra help calming and relaxing the body at the end of the day. Please take some time to watch this 7 minute 32 second video on Sleep & Essential Oils. In this presentation, you will learn about the doTERRA products designed to improve your sleep.
