I am always encouraging my kids to drink plenty of water and finding ways for them to be excited about getting enough in each day. I think they think they are getting a lot of sips of water in from the drinking fountain at school, but if we were to pour the water they are actually taking in to a measuring cup - how much are they actually getting? I'm positive it isn't enough. Some ways that they love to drink water is in a Snackeez, they think it is pretty cool. Their own glass water bottle, like mom's because you can add essential oils to it, like lemon.
A good rule of thumb is to drink half of your body weight in ounces. That may sound overwhelming, but if you actually measure it out to see what that looks like, you see it is actually fairly easy as you do it throughout the day.
