So, my goal has been 3 workouts each week. Last week I only did 2 for various reasons of life getting in the way. I tried through the week to find a crack here and there to fit it in. But I was where I needed to be as the week went on.
At the end of each week, I text message a friend and client of mine who we decided would be a great idea to be accountable to one another to get our workouts in each week.
I asked her; "How did your workouts go this week? Did you get the amount of time in you wanted?"
She replied with; "No just 2. I haven't been feeling well. How about you?"
I replied with: "Honor what you have done this week. And that you are honoring your body as you haven't felt well. Nourish yourself - heart, mind, body and spirit. Hopefully you'll be rejuvenated for next week to continue to empower yourself through the next week." --- Then I answered her question on "How about you?" --- I said, "I have only had two workouts this week. I'm not sure I'll get one more in this evening as I am so so tired already. I think what I'm going to do is honor what I have done and add in an extra day next week for my goals to be met."
It is SO SO important to not to bring yourself down. We are our worst critics and instead we need to lift ourselves up to our highest potential. And in this process of doing this, we have to celebrate our successes - all of them, we have to honor ourselves in what we have accomplished and adjust as we go to continue to be true to ourselves, God, and family. If we slap ourselves in the face because we didn't get that one more workout in for our goal for the week, how is that going to help you? Pick yourself back up and move forward, blast your fight song playlist, remember your WHY and visualize success!
