A week ago my husband had rashes on both of his forearms. We really thought hard about what may have caused this rash. We were trying to think of anything he had done differently in the past week... the only things we came up with were wearing a new jacket that he had been wearing since Valentine's day and hadn't exactly been washed, though the likelihood of a reaction like he had was pretty slim. Then the only other thing which was thrown out the door immediately was he started taking the doTERRA A to Z Chewable Supplements & IQ Mega (Omega 3 Fish Oil Supplement). If anything that was helping him, not hindering him.
So, we started out with experimenting on how to treat this rash. I went to the Modern Essential Oil book first and dealt with the suggested oils - Lavender and Melaleuca to start off. Not much of a change, not even in the itching. My next step was to have him take a capsule with Lavender, Lemon and Peppermint essential oil, as these oils are key for allergies. We waited for 15 min with no improvement. I wondered if putting those same oils on topically would help, but sadly the lemon made it worse for a time. When this happened, I knew that something deeper was going on. So, I felt strongly (intuition kicks in) to start him on the GX Assist to start cleansing or detoxing his body to rid whatever was plaguing him from the inside out. Many of the skin ailments people run into, is directly related to internal issues. Besides that, I wanted to try and treat the itching as well, but knew it may be difficult with what kind of rash we were up against. In a spray bottle from My Oil Business, I put some Fractionated Coconut Oil (for dilution), and then a few oils of each (making sure from my team that it was okay to mix these oils together): Melaleuca, Lavender, Roman Chamomile, Frankincense, Helichrysum - and it helped a tiny bit with the itching. Better than nothing!
After a day or so, after taking the GX Assist, we noticed a slight improvement. And then when he had a "ah-ha" moment of what had happened, I knew with the help of my team how to better treat the issue. He had wiped his desk off at work with a Clorox wipe, and before it had completely dried, had put his arms on his desk causing the chemical skin reaction. So, besides the cleanse of the GX Assist, and continuing with the vitamins, he started to put Purify in the area of his liver, rubbing clockwise to detox the chemicals out of his body. The ideal choice was Zendocrine, which he is now using as of last night - but I didn't have that on hand, so I used the next best oil. There is a significant improvement. He is also using Fractionated Coconut Oil topically due to the dry skin he is also experiencing with the rash.
Needless to say, I told him I would make him a natural solution to take to work and spray his desk. I have been in the process for 3 years to take steps to not have chemicals in our home, we may as well do that for him at work too!
